The brake system is the most important system to ensure our safety when we operate the tractor. We must pay more attention to prevent the brake system from malfunctioning. Let us learn about the common failures of the tractor brake system!
First of all, brake failure is relatively common, usually due to worn brake pads or failure of the oil pump. When the brake pads wear to a certain extent, they will cause brake failure. Or when the oil pump fails, it cannot provide lubricating oil to the brake pads in time, resulting in brake failure.
Secondly, the brakes become softer. This condition is usually caused by a brake fluid leak or a malfunctioning brake pump. The cause of brake fluid leakage may be that the brake fluid pipeline is aging or the brake fluid tank is not tightly sealed. If the brake pump fails, it may be that the seal of the pump body is not tight or the inner membrane of the pump body is aging.
The third type is brake jitter. This condition is usually caused by uneven wear on the surface of the brake disc or drum, or an excessive gap between the brake pad and disc. This failure can lead to brake failure or reduced braking performance.
Fourth, the brakes squeal. This situation is usually caused by uneven wear on the surface of the brake disc or brake drum, or the presence of debris between the brake pads and the disc. This kind of failure will lead to a decrease in braking performance and also affect the driver's mood.
Finally, the braking distance is too long. In this case, the brake cam is often worn or the brake pedal has a large free stroke. Finally, check the tire pattern wear. Excessive wear will reduce the adhesion coefficient and the ground braking force. And affect the braking distance.
Be sure to check and maintain the tractor's brake system regularly. Our safety always comes first!
