Loader battery maintenance

Mar 14, 2024

When we drive a loader, we need to charge it frequently to keep the loader working properly. So how can we maintain the loader's battery in the best possible condition?

When the loader cannot be started, it cannot be started continuously. It is best to wait for more than one minute between consecutive starts to avoid battery overdraft.

Regularly check the vent holes and electrolyte, which must be kept clean and added in time. Generally, it should be 10-15MM higher than the battery plate. The added amount must be based on the regulations of different loaders. Keep your battery at peak performance. Colleagues should also check whether the connection between the wire connector and the battery is firm and whether the battery is corroded or rusted. It's best to do a thorough cleaning every three months, depending on the intensity of the work. If the working environment is more likely to rust or oxidize. You can apply Vaseline appropriately on the surface of the chuck, handle and other parts.

Install the battery without looseness, check whether there is poor wire contact, and ensure that the surface of the battery shell is intact and without cracks. The positive and negative poles must be installed correctly and operated in strict accordance with factory regulations to avoid accidents.

The loader should be parked in a dry, ventilated, light-proof room with a suitable temperature. Pay attention to cooling in summer and keeping warm in winter. In winter, it is best to take out the battery and put it in a warm room to keep warm. When the loader is parked for a long time, the negative connection of the battery should be removed or the power should be cut off. Make sure the battery does not lose power while parked. When parked for 15 days or more than a month without starting, the battery should be replenished appropriately. Charge according to regulations after each discharge.
