Tractor battery leaking is a common fault. If it is handled in time, greater losses can be avoided. Today, the reference reasons for tractor battery leaking and the treatment methods for the fault are sorted out.

What are the reasons for battery leaking?

1. Battery aging: After a long time of use, the chemical reaction inside the battery will produce moisture. If it is not charged in time, the electrolyte concentration will be too high, resulting in water leakage.

2. The charging current is too large: During the battery charging process, if the charging current is too large, the electrolyte inside the battery will boil. If it exceeds a certain limit, it will flow out from the battery port.

3. The temperature is too high: When the tractor works in a high temperature environment, the chemical reaction inside the battery will accelerate, the electrolyte will evaporate, and the battery will leak.

How to deal with the battery leaking fault?

1. Clean the battery: If the battery leaking phenomenon is not very serious, you can clean the battery with clean water or a diluted baking soda solution to remove the electrolyte. Use a small brush to clean the electrode plate and the battery housing at the bottom, which can effectively remove the electrolyte residue. Then wipe the battery surface and terminals with a soft cloth.

2. Replace the battery: If the battery still leaks after cleaning, it is likely that the battery is aging and needs to be replaced with a new one. Users can refer to the tractor manual to select a suitable battery to ensure that the battery quality and size match the tractor.

3. Prevent high temperature environment: Avoid running the tractor in a high temperature environment for a long time. You can switch to a low temperature and suitable humidity site for operation. At the same time, pay attention to timely watering and charging to ensure that the battery works under normal conditions.
