First of all, you must use lubricating oil and engine oil of qualified quality. Most excavators are equipped with diesel engines, so diesel and lubricating oil are crucial. The selection standards shall not be lower than the requirements specified by the manufacturer.
Secondly, the engine oil and filter element must be replaced regularly. After the lubricating oil of any quality grade is used for working hours, the performance will deteriorate and cause various problems to the engine. In order to avoid the occurrence of malfunctions, the engine oil should be changed regularly according to the operating conditions, and the oil amount should be moderate (generally based on the upper limit of the oil dipstick).
Third, the crankcase must be cleaned regularly, because when the engine is running, high-pressure combustion materials and oxides in the combustion chamber enter the crankcase through the gap between the piston ring and the cylinder wall, and are mixed with metal powder produced by parts wear. Formation of sludge. Block the filter and oil holes, and carbon deposits will adhere to the piston. It will cause difficulty in engine lubrication and aggravate wear and tear. In severe cases, the piston ring may become stuck and the cylinder may be pulled. Therefore, special cleaning agents for the lubrication system should be used regularly for cleaning.
Finally, be sure to check the engine and accessories regularly. Be careful not to use the excavator continuously at high intensity. Do not start it continuously when it cannot start. Keep warm in winter and dissipate heat in summer. By doing these routine maintenance, you can greatly improve the performance and life of your excavator!
