The battery is a critical component for forklifts, especially electric forklifts. Therefore, in addition to routine maintenance, you must also pay attention to the safety storage regulations of forklift batteries.

First of all, there are safety storage regulations. Forklift batteries must prevent short circuits. For example, short circuits caused by exposure to rain may cause fires. Therefore, the battery must be stored in a ventilated and cool place. Likewise, charging needs to be done in a well-ventilated room away from open flames. It is best for used batteries to still contain electrical energy and should be stored according to the normal battery storage methods.

Second, regarding the safe operation of electrolyte, 1. When checking the specific gravity on a daily basis, use a suction hydrometer to check the specific gravity. Do not let the electrolyte spill out during operation, and wear protective equipment. 2. Operations other than inspection: Professionals should be consulted, especially when replenishing electrolyte (dilute sulfuric acid). 3. Electrolyte leakage: If the electrolyte leaks due to overturning or damage of the battery, emergency treatment should be carried out immediately (refer to emergency treatment matters)

Third, dispose of the scrapped battery correctly. When the battery is close to scrapping after being used for a long time, the electrolyte in the single-cell battery will decrease very quickly. Distilled water should be replenished every day. 2. For used batteries, extract the electrolyte and decompose the battery. Contact the battery manufacturer for safe recycling.

Fourth, emergency treatment for accidental contact with electrolyte

1. If electrolyte splashes on the skin: rinse with plenty of water

2. If electrolyte splashes into your eyes: rinse with plenty of water and receive treatment from a professional doctor.

3. If electrolyte spills on clothes: take off clothes immediately, rinse with water and then use weak alkali

Sex soap rinse.

4. Electrolyte leakage: When the electrolyte leaks to the outside, neutralize it immediately with lime, strong carbonated soda or carbonated soda, and rinse with plenty of water.
