Tractor front axle maintenance

  After long-term use, the tractor drive axle should be repaired and maintained in time. Proper maintenance and repair can avoid and reduce the occurrence of some faults and reduce the wear and tear of machine parts.

 

  In actual operations, the front axle wheel reduction mechanism has relatively many failures, and relatively speaking, it requires more intensive maintenance. First of all, the drive axle must undergo a running-in test run before it can be put into use. The running-in test run should be carried out in accordance with the running-in requirements of the complete machine, such as idling operation and load running-in. After the running-in is completed and the machine is shut down, drain the lubricating oil in the drive axle while it is hot, and add an appropriate amount of kerosene or light diesel oil for cleaning. After draining the cleaning fluid, add new lubricating oil.

  During daily maintenance of the axle, the wheel rim deceleration system should be checked frequently. The color and viscosity of the lubricating oil can be observed through the wheel rim oil filling hole. If the lubricating oil deteriorates, it should be replaced in time.

 

  If there is a problem with the clearance of the wheel reduction system, it must be adjusted in time. The adjustment method is as follows:

  1. Park the vehicle on a level road. After turning off the engine, block the front and rear wheels with blocks to prevent the vehicle from sliding. At the same time, disengage the front drive gear handle.

  2. After the vehicle is firmly supported with a jack, turn the wheel and check the wheel hub swing clearance. If the clearance is small, there is no need to adjust the wheel bearing clearance. Just perform normal maintenance, clean the wheel oil pool, and replace the lubricating oil. When the shaking gap is large, the wheels can be removed for further adjustment.

  3. Turn the wheel hub with both hands to make the oil drain port downward to release the lubricating oil; then disassemble the planet carrier.

  4. After opening the anti-loosening hole of the lock nut

  5. Continue to tighten the nut clockwise, and then re-lock the anti-loosening port of the nut after eliminating the gap in the wheel hub bearing.

 

  Parts should be thoroughly cleaned when assembling them, which is a key factor in ensuring their service life. When assembling, apply grease to bearings, oil seals, etc., and use special installation tools for assembly. Do not hammer the surface to avoid damaging the parts and causing unnecessary losses; when assembling parts, apply sealant to each joint surface, and apply sealant to the threaded joint parts. Thread locking glue to ensure sealing and locking effect.
