What Should Be Paid Attention To When The Tractor Works in High Temperature Environment

Jun 25, 2022

The temperature is high in summer. When the tractor works in a high temperature environment, the following problems should be paid special attention to.

1. Handle the "boiling" carefully. When the cooling water is "boiling", it should be handled carefully. The correct treatment method is to make the engine run at medium speed, open the radiator cap, release the hot gas, and slowly add cold water after cooling. When opening the radiator cap, the operator should stand upwind and face away from the water inlet to avoid being scalded by the high-temperature water and gas.

2. Keep the cooling system clean. Before summer comes, the cooling system should be thoroughly descaled and cleaned to make the water pump and radiator water pipe unblocked and ensure the normal circulation of cooling water. In addition, weeds and other things adhering to the surface of the radiator shall be removed in time.

3. Prevent water leakage: water leakage of the cooling system mostly occurs at the water pump shaft sleeve. At this time, properly tighten the water seal compression nut. If it is invalid, it indicates that the packing has failed and should be replaced in time. The filler can be wound with asbestos rope coated with graphite powder.

4. Pay attention to the tension of the belt. The fan belt is too loose, which is easy to slip, causing the rotation speed of the fan and the water pump to drop and the wind force to be insufficient; If the fan belt is too tight, the bearing load is too large, which will aggravate the wear and increase the power consumption. The general requirements are: when pressing the middle of the belt with your thumb, the belt sag is within the range of 10mm-15mm. If it is too loose or too tight, it should be adjusted in time.

5. Use the temperature regulating device correctly. There are two types of temperature regulating devices: automatic (such as thermostat) and manual (such as thermal insulation curtain and shutter). Some drivers think that it is hot in summer, and the lower the water temperature, the better. They often remove the thermostat. This will greatly prolong the warm-up time of the engine and accelerate the wear of parts during cold start. Therefore, the thermostat should not be removed in summer. Thermal insulation curtains and louvers are used to regulate the air flow through the radiator. In summer, it is generally not necessary to use the thermal insulation curtain, and the shutters should also be placed in the fully open position.

6. Select oil correctly. Diesel oil with high condensation point can be used due to high temperature in summer, and ensure the correctness of fuel supply advance angle. In addition, special attention should be paid to prevent oil leakage from the oil supply system, because oil leakage not only causes oil waste, but also may cause fire. In addition to diesel oil, lubricating oil and grease shall be of summer grade as required. Some tractors are equipped with oil temperature change-over valve. During seasonal maintenance, the change-over valve should be turned to the position where the oil flows to the oil radiator.

7. Pay attention to the maintenance of the battery. In summer, the water in the battery electrolyte is easy to evaporate, and special attention should be paid to the inspection of the battery liquid level. The normal liquid level shall be 10mm-15mm higher than the electrode plate. The electrolyte density of the battery shall be reduced as required. The vent holes on the filler cap should be dredged. Temporarily unused batteries shall be stored in a cool and ventilated place.

8. The higher the anti fuel gas resistance temperature, the faster the evaporation, and the easier it is to form gas resistance in the oil circuit. Therefore, the fuel filter should be cleaned in time in summer to keep the oil passage smooth; During driving, cover the fuel pump with a wet cloth and spray water regularly to keep it moist and reduce the generation of air resistance. Once the fuel system has air resistance, stop the engine immediately to cool down and fill the oil circuit with fuel by hand pump.

9. Anti engine deflagration engine deflagration due to overheating will increase the wear of the upper part of the cylinder by 3-5 times. Therefore, the carbon deposits in the combustion chamber and valve head should be completely removed; Check and adjust the fuel supply quantity and time to prevent deflagration.
