In the use and maintenance of small crawler tractors, the most important thing is to ensure that the pin rotates in the pin hole. Do this work strictly when using new tracks. Let's take a look at what to look out for!
First of all, before leaving the vehicle every day, check whether the track pins are affected by mud and cannot rotate normally. The second step is to regularly check and correct the deformation of the track shoes to prevent eccentric wear of the pins. If a pin feels difficult to pull with a wrench, then the front and rear track shoes connected to the pin are likely to be deformed. At this time, maintenance should be carried out according to the product factory manual.
Secondly, when the wall thickness of the track pin hole is only 2 to 3 mm, the outer diameter of the meshing part with the driving wheel reaches 33 to 34 mm, and the track is sunk 4 to 5 mm, it should be repaired before use. What can be repaired should be repaired as much as possible, and there is no need to replace the entire set with a new one. New and old crawler tracks should be used at intervals to make the pitch as even as possible. When it is found that the meshing part between the driving wheel and the track shoe is severely worn, under normal circumstances, the entire set of track shoes can be turned around, because the tractor has less chance of being used in reverse. When the track pin diameter is ground to 18mm, new pins should be replaced to shorten the pitch by 4mm, which is beneficial to extending the service life of the track. The repair of track shoes is more troublesome, and the main problem after repair is that it is not wear-resistant enough. Therefore, in recent years, replacement parts have been used to repair severely worn track shoes.
Third, you should choose a gear reasonably according to the road conditions while driving, and use the accelerator to control the vehicle speed at any time. High-speed driving, high-speed sharp turns and high-speed forced starts are prohibited. Because of the high-speed crawler running mechanism, the dynamic matching parts collide with each other under the action of huge impact loads, causing premature wear of the dynamic matching surfaces. Excessive impact load will damage the suspension, twist the axle body, and crack the axle hole of the frame. When working in the field, try to avoid partial traction of the unit to avoid unilateral wear of the traveling mechanism.
Finally, adjusting the track tension can reduce the wear of the driving wheels. When adjusting, park the tractor on a flat hard ground, take a straight wooden bar and place it on the track pins at both ends of the track between the two supporting sprockets. Measure the distance from the upper surface of the track pin at the maximum sag point of the track to the lower plane of the wooden bar. When the tightness is normal, this distance should be 30~50mm. If it does not meet the requirements, you can turn the adjusting nut of the tensioning bolt of the guide wheel and adjust it by changing the front and rear position of the guide wheel. If the tensioning bolt has been adjusted to the bottom but the track is still too loose, remove a track shoe and adjust it again.
