Now that the temperature is gradually rising, and summer in the northern hemisphere is about to arrive, you can learn some things to note about the summer operation of excavators in advance!
First of all, be sure to conduct a comprehensive inspection before entering summer, especially the following key areas: first check whether the engine's antifreeze level, engine oil level, hydraulic oil level, and rotary gear oil level are all in the normal position.
Check whether there is oil leakage in the machine pipeline, especially in high-temperature areas such as the engine. Oil leakage in summer is more likely to cause fires.
In hot weather, air conditioning is indispensable. Check whether the air conditioning filter element needs to be replaced, and check whether the radiator and cooling system are blocked. Clean the dust from the engine and condensing system. Work is important, but health is even more important!
There are many rainy seasons and thunder and lightning weather in summer. In such weather, the excavator should stop construction as much as possible and park it indoors in a safe and rain-proof place. If the excavator gets wet, after finishing the work, you can clean the water from key parts and add some lubricating oil. If you can only park outdoors, stay away from trees, mountaintops, houses and people.
Finally, if you continue to work under high temperatures, it is best to use high-temperature-resistant lubricants, prepare drinking water and take sun protection measures, but try not to overload or work for long periods of time in summer to avoid heat stroke!
